Ch. 12 Blog

I am always around my family.  I am not like other kids my age, and always want to go out to the movies with friends, and things like that.  I would rather be at home spending time with my family.  I have always been around them especially my dad because we work together all the time.  We have two farms we take of, and I am always with him at one, or the other.  I would not change a thing about my family, or the time I spend with them.  My family is what has made me what I am, and how I act, and how I treat others.  My family is really my only community, and that is all I need.

Ch. 11 Blog

I am very good at the way I spend my money.  When I want to buy something I think about if I need it or not first.  Most of the things I but are expensive so I usually look online for the cheapest price.  When I think about buying something I don't just buy it right then and I take time to decide if I really want it or if I will use it.  I would say I am very careful with my money I work hard for it and I don't like to waist it.

I have never been addicted to anything bad.  I really like to drink Dr. Pepper but I'm not addicted to it.  I think that when it comes to food and gambling people should have more control of themselves.  When people become addicted to alcohol and drugs it is much harder for them to come clean.  My brother was addicted to drugs when he was in high school.  When they say it affects the whole family they are right.  He became clean and is now doing every well but for a while it was hard on everyone.

Ch. 9 Blog

When I was in the sixth grade there was a group of guys that thought they were better than everyone else.  They would make fun of everyone and they were the only ones that could say anything or anything they would do is the best thing ever.  They starting in on one of my friends and I one day and did not let up.  They would just make fun of the things you say and the cloths we wore.  We would say stuff back but then they would just do it all even more.  We would just ignore them most of the time but when they would make fun of someone that would not stand up for themselves we would step in and they would turn their attention towards us.  So this went on all year and about a week left in school we got into a fight and we beat the crap out of the one boy who made the most fun of everyone.  We got suspended for the last week of school.  When I look at it now it was worth it because for the next two years they did not mess with us at all and they let up a lot on everyone else.

Ch. 8 Blog

In English we had to find a topic about things happening in the world, and write about it.  I decided to write about the Health Care Bill that has been passed.  I read that it will force everyone to have to buy health insurance.  The first things is that the government can not force anyone to buy something if they don't want it.  Another thing is that why should tax payers have to pay the billions more to force everyone to buy it when no one is turned away because they cant pay.  So why in the world should they spend all that money, and have my grandchildren still paying off the debt from it instead of just leaving most of it alone.  I did read that it will make insurance companies take you even if you have a pre-existing condition.

Ch. 7 Blog

At times I can experience test anxiety.  It is not so much with test throughout the course of the class, but with bigger test.  I can fell some anxiety when I am about to take a final, or something that is worth a large part of the class grade.  I felt a lot of anxiety when I took the ACT, and it was because I can not take timed test very well.  All the ACT is good for is to see if you can speed through the test, and get the questions right.  I don't think it is a very good way of finding out about what you know.  About the only way for me to not have any anxiety over a test is to study. GO FIGURE!  As long as I study I feel like I will do better on it, and not feel as nervous.

Ch. 6 Blog

I believe that the statements that are given are true.  For many test, and important things I will write down as well as read it the important facts.  When I am learning how to build things, or how to fix something i need to see it, and I need to do it myself.  For most people reading something will do the job to a certain degree,  but to really learn it you need to write things down, and say them.  Just like the statement when I do, and say something is how I learn the best.  I have always heard that the only way to is for you to learn something is for you to do it.

Ch. 5 Blog

Freshmen seminar is the class that I have the most reading, and is my most difficult class.  I have a hard time reading anyway, but the amount of work in this class makes it more difficult for me.  When I get ready to read chapter for the quiz I have to go somewhere quite that  no one will bother me.  Read all of the chapter, and not just skim through works for me the best.  Making note cards are a good way for me to study what I have read.  Another way is to highlight important facts, and things like that.  

Ch. 3 Blog

Intrapersonal and thinker are similar because it gives you a good understanding of your surroundings, and lets you solve a problem fast if it comes your way.  The difference in the to is that being a thinker you have the ability to think of many new things and share them instead of being independent with everything and getting help to achieve new ideas.  I am both these things which makes me who I am, and being a thinker it allows me to be thrown in a situation, and finding a solution for it.

This is about how my week goes during school.  You might think I work alot, but it is not that much.  It is not uncommon during the summer for me to work 65 plus hours a week.  My dad has a powerwashing business, and every weekend I go out with a crew, and wash trucks every saturday and sunday.  I still make time for family, and my girlfrend.  She spends time with me when I am with my family, but the four hours with friends is when we spend time together.  My week is always full, and I am always doing.

Ch. 1 Blog

My name is William H. Eades III, and because I am the III everyone calls me Trey.  Why I am going to college?  I will tell you, it is because I want a good job when I get out of college.  The only way to make money these days is to have a college degree.  I am getting to get a degree in Criminal Justice, and joining some kind of federal law enforcement agency.  I always wanted to be in the military but I have a disease which will not allow me to do that.  I think college will be challenging, but it will be fun.  Everyone in my family has been to college so I don't have a choice, but I am smart enough to go on my own.  I picked Criminal Justice because I want to help fight crime, and I love to shoot which i am very good at.  Since I am good at shooting I want my job to involve it.
